I wanted someplace tropical and full of culture, good food, and art. Of course, there are a ton of places in the world like that. I considered Mexico and a couple of places in the Caribbean. But, I eventually realized that New Orleans was my favorite city and I should consider purchasing my second home, or what the bougie people call a "pied de Terre" in Nola. This dream has run through my mind for at least the last fifteen years. Eventually, the stars aligned and I was able to see my way clear to make it happen. The first realtor that I had, Betsy Birdsong did everything that she could to discourage me from purchasing. I think my natural tan was a problem.
